Happy Valentine's Day

Y'all, I have had the most fun this morning. My son wanted me to take flowers to his girlfriend's school today. I haven't said much about this amazing girl, but I just love her!!! They have officially been an item since just before Thanksgiving. We all just adore her and hope she sticks around, so I happily agreed to deliver flowers this morning.

I was supposed to get them to the front office and have them take them to her room. I hadn't counted on the amount of car riders or the difficulty of getting in this particular school's parking lot, so I had to drive around and wait until the bell rang.

This could never be replicated. I got to the office and opened the door to walk right straight into her. She has PE first. Oh my!!!

I told her this didn't work out quite like we planned and she had not been supposed to see me. Darn it! Anyway, she is the cutest thing ever.

Hubby and I are planning a big event tonight. We are headed to Whataburger. Yep, you heard that right. We have both been dieting for so very long. I don't really call mine dieting anymore, but a lifestyle change. We are giddy about eating at Whataburger tonight.  For me, it will fries and the burger without the bun, and never ever a soft drink to touch these lips again. I am not completely going into those waters again, but I love Whataburger fries. Oh, and then a walk on the beach. He is beginning to see the benefits of taking me on a beach walk.

Have a great Valentine's Day.
Sandy

  1. First...totally forgot to tell you how glad I am that you got a good report at the Dermatologist. Marvin heads out for his yearly check up next Wednesday. He had basal cell skin cancer and we keep a close check on things now. I am so excited for your son and his girl friend. She sounds like a keeper to me. We have no plans for this evening but Whataburger sounds great. I try to drink water most of the time but every now and then I have a sweet tea or a coke. Not like I used to though!! It is best to avoid them. Off to Chatsworth tomorrow so I will not be blogging til Monday! The only bad thing about the little house is no internet but then maybe that is a good thing too.

    1. Have fun on your trip. Love on your mama and relax too. The Internet thing is a good thing. It is hard to get used to but usually you come back home better for it. We don't have it our place at the lake either.

  2. How sweet of you to take the flowers...the things Mothers will do for their sons! heehee! (I have 4 sons!) And the walk on the beach sounds wonderful. I love a good hamburger but we cook them on the grill at home...and yes, I eat part of the bun! lol Enjoy your day. Hugs, Diane

  3. We have almost completely stopped eating red meat; have in fact completely stopped buying it. But there is a diner in Maine that has THE BEST burgers we have ever tasted. Whenever we get up that way again, we WILL be having a burger. Some things are worth the splurge!

I don't drink soft drinks either except very, very occasionally at a gathering. If they offer bottled water I will have that. I recently discovered kombucha which is a very healthy drink with the fizz of a soft drink. Good for you but so expensive. It will be an occasional purchase.

    1. Eating better has made my health incredibly better so it isn't as hard, but I still love to have a cheat day every now and then. I really haven't missed the cokes, so that is a plus. In fact, I have been off of them so long that when I had my colonoscopy this past summer I tried to drink a Sprite and could only get a third of it down. It was too sweet.

    1. Thank you Amalia for stopping by. I almost didn't see your comment, because I have been out of town and taking a bit of a blogging break. I will be back next week with some progress on a cross stitch project.

  6. How sweet to deliver the roses to your son's girlfriend.

I understand the Whataburger thing! We are doing WW right now and some days I would kill for a brownie. :)
