Probably rushed the finish, but it is what it is. Next time I will slow down.
The pattern is the hoopla patterns from With Thy Needle and Thread compliments of my sweet friend Arlene at Nanaland.
I stitched it on 28 count laguna with most of the called for colors. I had to sub some greens. I didn't do the one over one stitching but chose to do back stitching anywhere that was called for.
These hooplas have been fun stitches.
See you next week with hopefully more than a passing fancy.
Sandy
What a cute little design. I'm glad you have a picture with your hand holding the project. I really didn't have a good sense of its size, otherwise. This was a nice little passing fancy post. :)
ReplyDeleteYour finish looks great to me! Well done!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful finish. I like it.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend. Manuela
Your passing fancy is very well done. I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteI hope to have my March piece done this weekend. Xstitching is done; just need to do the finish.
Your Hoopla finish looks super, Sandy! I love the green checked ribbon you added. Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! I am going to work on my Easter Hoopla today so I will be sending it on when I get it completed. I am really trying not to hold onto things when I finish with them!! It makes me feel better about purchasing them in the first place!!
ReplyDeleteI love it, it turned out very nice and you have plenty of time to enjoy it. I've been on the hunt for St Patricks placemats, but so far haven't found any. I so a few on Amazon, but they didn't call out to me. Was surprised Kohl's had zip. Michael's didn't have anything either. Usually both stores have seasonal things. So, for now I have spring mats to replace Valentines Day...but, with still some snow on the ground they seem out of place. But, the flowers remind me of better weather so that's a plus.
ReplyDeleteLove your Hoopla finish, Sandy! This is SUCH a cute series and I'm not sure why I haven't stitched any of them yet. Hope to change that soon :)
ReplyDeleteI love this St. Patrick's day stitch. Your simple finish is perfect for it too.
